The Ministry of Music

Music in the church can be extremely powerful. It can awaken us to truth and can change lives. In 1 Samuel 10, Saul was exposed to a group of musicians who had a powerful ministry in prophecy. Their ministry affected Saul so deeply that he was "changed into a different person." That's the power of the Lord working through music.

The Woodlands United Methodist Church has a strong commitment to music as a ministry. We take seriouly the expression, "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord." God wants us to use our abilities no matter how great or small. "Some of us are more capable than many of us, but none of us are more capable than all of us together."

Additional singers and musicians are always welcome. Our music ministry offers many venues where people can plug in. Whether you are a singer, an instrumentalist, or just a "lover of music," there is a place for you in our music ministry.
